I love the Easter holidays, as it’s the perfect time to decorate a little for spring, and there are so many pretty decorations in the shops, it’s hard not to go a little crazy.
I do think simple is best though, so this year I just bought some faux painted eggs from Tesco and I placed them in a glass bowl on the table.
I have a favourite little Sylvac pottery bunny my mum bought years ago in Cork which always makes an appearance, and I will also add a few tealights and scented candles to decorate my dinner table on Easter Sunday.
Here is another very simple yet effective idea I spotted and love.
Fill a large vase with some branches and white gypsophila, decorate by hanging a few pretty painted faux eggs on them. This would work great as a dinner table centerpiece and just keep the rest of the decor fairly simple by adding candles, glasswear and pretty napkins etc.
I will be making a lovely pavlova similar to the one above for dessert, although I’m cheating and have already bought a large premade meringue base in Dunnes for €5.99. I plan on piling fresh fruit and cream on it and decorating with coloured mini eggs.
Have a lovely Easter,
